State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) invites the community to join her for the 10th annual “Go Red for Women” luncheon, an inspiring event advocating for heart disease awareness, on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in room 230 of the Georgia State Capitol.

This year’s luncheon will feature distinguished speakers, including Dr. Jayne Morgan, Dr. Antoinette G. Alvarado, and Dr. Walker, who will share their expertise and insights on heart health and prevention strategies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in free blood pressure testing and enjoy exciting giveaways.

“Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States, and raising awareness is critical to saving lives,” said Rep. Doreen Carter. “This luncheon is not just an event; it’s a movement to empower women with the tools and knowledge they need to take control of their heart health.”
